Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prevention Implementation - September 16, 2026
The VTE Prevention Program is a provincial initiative that supports standardized, evidence-based practices to reduce the risk of venous thromboembolism in hospitalized adult patients.
Implementation occurred in three phases to support safe and consistent adoption across the province. This included a training phase (May 14, 2026), and a pilot phase in Saskatoon (July 15, 2026). The provincial rollout is effective September 16, 2026.
