The Learner Placement unit facilitates discussion between partner organizations and the development, implementation and evaluation of collaborative projects related to clinical education in Saskatchewan. As part of this work, the unit supports the coordination of clinical and non-clinical placements within the Saskatchewan Health Authority and manages the Health Sciences Placement network (HSPNet) which is used to request and coordinate clinical placements for many clinical disciplines. We also look forward to working with preceptors and educational programs to support interprofessional practice and education in practice settings.
What's new?
The amalgamation of former Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) to the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has created an opportunity for the Saskatchewan health system to reshape the way we administer and support placements. There is significant work to be accomplished to support clinical placements. We are in the process of establishing our team to do so and look forward to working with academic programs to build a future state.

Please note that the CLIPP website will no longer be available following the transition to the SHA. For more information about the resources created by the CLIPP unit, please email us.
