Scott Livingstone
Scott Livingstone is the first CEO of the newly created Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). The SHA is the single biggest public sector employer in Saskatchewan history and one of the largest health organizations in Canada.
Prior to joining the SHA, Scott was the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA). He has also served as the CEO of the Saskatchewan Health Information Network (now eHealth Saskatchewan).
Scott has chaired and participated on a number of provincial and national boards representing Saskatchewan and the health sector in the areas of eHealth, shared services, evidence-based drug assessment and sustainability of cancer care.
A pharmacist by training, Livingstone has dedicated his career to providing executive leadership that builds strong organizational culture focused on patients and families and continuous quality improvement.

Chief Operating Officer
Suann Laurent
Suann Laurent joined the Saskatchewan Health Authority from her position as President and Chief Executive Officer of the former Sunrise Health Region.
Throughout her career, Suann has held a number of senior positions including: Senior Vice-President of Health Services, Executive Director of Health Services, Director of Acute Care Programs, Quality Improvement Analyst, Director of Nursing, and Director of Long Term Care. She has also worked in a wide variety of nursing practices.
Suann graduated with a nursing diploma from the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan. She also graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Commerce and has her Masters in Health Studies - Leadership from Athabasca University.
Suann holds active registration status with the Saskatchewan Registered Nursing Association and has professional affiliations with the Canadian Council of Nursing, the International Council of Nursing, and is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Suann is the former chair of Accreditation Canada's National Surveyor Advisory Committee, and has extensive experience accrediting health systems nationally and internationally.

Beth Vachon - Vice President Quality, Safety & Strategy
Beth Vachon served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of former Cypress Health Region since April 2010. Prior to her CEO appointment, she served in a variety of leadership positions within former Cypress Health Region and the former Swift Current Health District, including as a member of the senior leadership team and as the executive director of Community Health Services.
Beth has an extensive nursing background, having been employed in health care for more than 30 years as a registered psychiatric nurse and manager. Beth achieved her diploma in Psychiatric Nursing at the Wascana Institute of Applied Science and Technology, and holds active registration status with the Registered Psychiatric Nursing Association of Saskatchewan.
Beth is an advocate for building effective community partnerships and engaging health providers in the provision of a patient-first health environment.

Dr. Susan Shaw - Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Susan Shaw balances a rewarding career in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology with clinical and system improvement work at the local, regional and provincial level in Saskatchewan. She has been a successful department head, a physician leader with the Saskatchewan Surgical Initiative, and Co-led the former Saskatoon Health Region's Safer Every Day Breakthrough Initiative.
Susan is currently Board Chair for the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council, a member of the Provincial Leadership Team, and Director of Physician Advocacy and Leadership with the Saskatchewan Medical Association. Susan is looked to as a leader in patient-centred care, physician leadership, continuous improvement, and large scale change.

Mike Northcott - Chief Human Resources Officer
Mike Northcott is Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Mike and his team are responsible for all human resource operations and professionals to ensure that the organization attracts, develops and retains the best health care professionals for the province of Saskatchewan.
Mike joined the former Saskatoon Health Region in 2007 and played a key role in the strategic direction of the region’s human resource functions. Throughout his career in human resources, Mike has served in various leadership positions in health care in Saskatchewan and Alberta, most recently as the Director of Human Resources for the former Saskatoon Health Region. Mike holds a Masters of Human Resources Management from the University of Regina. He also has a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from the University of Saskatchewan.
Mike is passionate about leadership and is a graduate of the Saskatchewan Leadership Program, the Queens Leadership Program and is a certified Lean Leader. He believes that the most important job a leader has is developing more leaders. He has served as the co-chair of the Joint Health Human Resources Committee, as a member of the Health Labour Relations Counsel and a member of the Provincial Health Authority Transition Team. Mike continues to serve as an employer trustee on the Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees Pension Plan (SHEPP).

Robbie Peters - Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer
As Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Robbie Peters provides leadership in the areas of Financial Services, Supply Chain and Contract Management, and Enterprise Risk Management.
Since 2013 Robbie served as the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the former Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region. He has also gained significant experience working with private sector organizations during his 18-year career at Grant Thornton LLP.
Robbie received a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of PEI, and his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995.

Andrew Will - Vice President Infrastructure, Information & Support
Born and educated in Saskatchewan, Andrew Will has dedicated his career to providing executive leadership that builds strong organizational culture focused on supporting individuals and teams to achieve their best for the people we serve.
Andrew has served in executive leadership positions for health regions in both Saskatchewan and Alberta, including Chief Executive Officer of four health regions, and as a member of Alberta Health Services executive team in the positions of Executive Vice President of Clinical Support Services, and Executive Vice President and Executive Lead, Transition. Most recently, Andrew served as the Chief Executive Officer of 3sHealth.

Andrew McLetchie - Vice President Integrated Northern Health
Andrew McLetchie served as the CEO of former Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region since October 2011, following two years as Director of Integrated Health Services. Prior to moving into management and leadership roles in the health system, Andrew gained thorough frontline experience working as a Registered Nurse in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario and Ireland.
Andrew is dedicated to patient-centred care, and passionate about finding innovative ways to deliver high quality, timely health care services that meet the unique needs of northern residents.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Stephanie Young - Physician Executive
Dr. Stephanie Young comes to her role from positions as both a rural family physician based out of La Ronge and a Senior Medical Officer for the Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region. She has been living and working in various capacities in the North for the last ten years. As such, she is used to operating in geographically vast areas with complex and dynamic health care systems.
Stephanie sits on the National Council for the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada, where she assists in working towards their mission of helping provide leadership for rural physicians and helping to promote sustainable conditions and equitable healthcare for rural and remote communities.
She also has experience in quality improvement work and was one of the Saskatchewan participants in the mini-Advanced Training Program offered by Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Stephanie is seens as a passionate advocate for rural and remote communities and hopes to help improve timely access and the overall quality of care received by all Saskatchewanians, no matter where they live.

Karen Earnshaw - Vice President Integrated Rural Health
Karen Earnshaw has extensive nursing experience, having held a variety of nursing positions in Alberta prior to moving to Saskatchewan in 1991 where she continued her career in health care.
Karen has a diverse background with both frontline and leadership experience in both urban and rural settings. Recently Karen served as Vice President of Integrated Health Services and Interim CEO of the former Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region.
Karen is committed to continuous improvement and is passionate about delivering high quality health services to patients and families while improving the health outcomes for all people of Saskatchewan.
She holds a Diploma of Nursing, as well as Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Kevin Wasko, Physician Executive

Dr. Kevin Wasko is the Physician Executive for Integrated Rural Health. He is based out of Swift Current and continues to work in the emergency department at the Cypress Regional Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary's Cumming School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine through the University of Saskatchewan's rural training site in Swift Current. He has also obtained a certificate of added competence in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Wasko was the physician co-lead on the Saskatchewan Health System Transition Team in 2017, leading work in the areas of physician engagement, medical governance and the academic mandate. He also previously served as the President of the Cypress Regional Medical Association and as a board member of the Saskatchewan Medical Association. Dr. Wasko continues to be involved in teaching, as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Saskatchewan.
In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Wasko holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Dalhousie University and a Master of Arts in political science from the University of Calgary.

Sharon Garratt - Vice President Integrated Urban Health and Chief Nursing Officer
Sharon Garratt came to her new role from her position as Vice President of Integrated Health Services in the former Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region where she was responsible for Surgery, Women’s and Children’s Health, Specialized Ambulatory Care, and Clinical Quality and Professional Practice.
Sharon brings a unique depth and breadth of experience with a nursing career that spanned long-term care, public health and acute care. Her career progressed from front-line nurse to Public Health Nurse Manager, Director of the System-Wide Admission Discharge Department, Executive Director of Women’s and Children’s Health and now Vice President.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from Athabasca University. As a Registered Nurse, she also holds active registration status with the Saskatchewan Registered Nursing Association and is a member of the Academy of Canadian Nursing Executives.

Dr. Rashaad Hansia - Physician Executive
Rashaad has over 20 years of experience as a physician. In addition to individual patient care, his interest in patient-centred health system improvement from very early on in his career led him to complete Masters Degrees in Public Health and Business Administration.
Since 2014 Rashaad has served as a family physician and Medical Director at the Meadow Primary Health Care Centre and as physician partner in a dyad leadership role with the Executive Director of Primary Health Care in the Regina Area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
He is a Canadian Certified Physician Executive with a special interest in and passion for developing safe, high quality and high value health services and is a self-confessed lifetime learner.

Corey Miller - Vice President Provincial Programs
Corey Miller has been a healthcare provider and leader in Saskatchewan for the past 25 years. He began his career as a Medical Radiation Technologist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon and has served in many senior roles in the former Saskatoon Health Region, including Director of Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Director of Practitioner Staff Affairs, and the Vice President of Integrated Health Services Community Portfolio. Since 2015 Corey has been serving as the Vice President of Care Services for the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
Corey graduated with a diploma in Medical Radiation Technology from SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon, he is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan – College of Commerce in Healthcare Administration, and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Regina.

Dr. Paul Babyn - Physician Executive
Dr. Babyn is a pediatric radiologist who comes to his new role from the former Saskatoon Health Region and the University of Saskatchewan’s Department for Medical Imaging, where he has served as the Head of Medical Imaging since 2010. Previously, Dr. Babyn was on staff at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He worked in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging for 22 years, 12 of which he served as Head of the Department.
Dr. Babyn holds degrees in biology and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a medical degree from McGill University. He completed his residency in diagnostic imaging at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and fellowships in General Radiology and Neuroradiology/Special Procedures at The Hospital for Sick Children.
He is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Canadian Association of Radiology and the Society of Pediatric Radiology.

Chief Audit Officer
Leanne Ashdown
Leanne brings learnings from extensive internal auditing experience to her new role as Chief Audit Officer. Her career spans public and private sectors, including government, insurance, agriculture and utilities organizations. Since 2012, Leanne has been the Executive Director of Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management at 3sHealth.
Leanne was born, raised and educated in Saskatchewan. She holds several professional certifications including Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CMA) and Certified Internal Auditor. She has been an active member of many local professional associations, including The Institute of Internal Auditors, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and ISACA. Leanne serves on the Employer Partner Committee of the Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees Pension Plan.
As Chief Audit Officer, Leanne will be responsible for the overall direction, control and coordination of the internal audit function. She looks forward to supporting the Board and Chief Executive Officer in their pursuit of improved patient care and better coordinated health services throughout Saskatchewan.

Kim McKechney - Vice President Community Engagement and Communications
Kim McKechney joined the Saskatchewan Health Authority from his position as Associate Vice-President (External Relations) for the University of Regina.
He previously held the position of Executive Director of Communications and Marketing for the University, and has served as a member of the University Executive Team since 2014. Kim holds a Bachelors of Arts Honours degree from the University of Saskatchewan and Master of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University.
