Using HSPNet for Clinical Placements
One of the tools utilized by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and some post-secondary institutions is the Health Sciences Placement Network – Saskatchewan (HSPNet-SK).
HSPnet is a comprehensive, web-enabled practice education management system for the health sciences programs. It assists with the administration of discipline-specific and interprofessional student placements. It was first implemented in Saskatchewan in 2006.
Various education options are available for HSPnet training including classroom, webinars, training videos, and reference guides. For more information, please visit the HSPNet-SK login page.
If you are a post-secondary program interested in utilizing HSPNet within your organization, please email us to discuss your needs. The Learner Placement Unit serves as the Saskatchewan lead agency for matters pertaining to HSPNet and will guide your program through next steps.
The following Quick Reference Guides were developed to support the clinical placement process for nursing students in Saskatchewan. The Guides apply to all nursing programs that use HSPnet to manage student placements and to all Saskatchewan Health Authority clinical sites.
