Physicians interested in assisting with providing immunizations can express their interest using the existing Skill Inventory form. Even if you have
previously filled in the skills inventory, please click the link above and respond
to the new question with respect to your interest in administering the
COVID-19 vaccine. Please note that the SHA is still waiting on confirmation from the College of Medicine for the process to allow Residents to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
Once
a physician expresses interest through the above link, there are steps taken in
Practitioner Staff Affairs (PSA) to confirm the physician meets the requirements.
Once eligibility is confirmed, an MOU and invoice template is sent to the
physician with the FAQ document and what to expect next. Physicians are required to
complete the training modules and completion of same is tracked by PSA. Links
to the required and optional modules are below, along with instructions on how
to access the Thinkific Learning Platform.
At
this time, the online staff scheduling system is being piloted in
Saskatoon and physicians are being registered by PSA and the scheduling team.
For other areas, PSA is working with the scheduling team to add approved
physicians to staff scheduling and shifts will appear for physicians to bid on
as they are rolled out by area.
As there are a high volume of physicians expressing
interest to provide this service at this time, it may take several business
days to receive a response after you have expressed interest. Some areas of the
province are also being prioritized based on vaccine arrivals. You will be
contacted as soon as your area is reached in the queue.
