The Saskatchewan Health Authority, along with the Strasbourg and District Health Centre, are very pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Nicole Heintz to serve Strasbourg and surrounding communities. Effective Monday, November 4, 2019, Dr. Heintz will be joining Nurse Practitioner Jennelle Hubick to provide Primary Health Care services out of the Strasbourg and District Health Centre.
Dr. Heintz is originally from Quill Lake. She received her Bachelor of Science Honours, Physiology in 2009 and a Master of Science, Physiology in 2011 both from the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Heintz graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. She completed Post-Graduate Training with Certification in Family Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan at the Swift Current Family Medicine Residency Program in December 2017, and obtained certification from the College of Family Physicians Canada in January, 2018.
Dr. Heintz began her career in rural family medicine in Fort Qu’Appelle in a Primary Health model of care. There she worked in a team-based practice in the clinic, long term care, emergency department, and inpatient hospital service.
Dr. Heintz is married to Brady Heintz, originally of Strasbourg, and they have a two and a half year old son, Weylin. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Heintz and her family back to the community!
