Beginning Monday, August 31, 2020, emergency room parking at the Pasqua Hospital will be temporarily reduced from 22 to 11 parking stalls as the result of construction related to roof replacement on the north side of the hospital.
Emergency room traffic will not be disrupted. Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted. Construction is expected to take seven weeks to complete.
“The SHA recognizes there will continue to be demand for emergency room parking at Pasqua Hospital. The priority for emergency room parking is to accommodate patients and families in crisis requiring urgent care,” said Dale Orban, Manager, Parking Services, Safety & Special Projects, Security & Parking Services – Regina.
Due to the limited dedicated emergency room parking available, patients and families are encouraged to utilize emergency drop-off zones as much as possible. When possible, patients visiting the Pasqua Hospital emergency room for non-urgent care are encouraged to park in the general parking area in order to ensure emergency parking stalls are available for those in crisis requiring urgent care. Directional signage will be posted.
Patients and families can seek non-emergency care at one of the walk-in medical clinics listed at http://www.rqhealth.ca/facilities/walk-in-clinics. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911. If you are unsure if you are experiencing an emergency, please call 811.
Patients and families visiting the Pasqua Hospital emergency room are reminded to follow the current COVID-19 visitor restriction guidelines.
