This public service announcement is for residents of the area serviced by Wilkie and District Health Centre.
Effective Thursday, May 7, 2020, emergency and outpatient services at the facility are suspended until further notice.
Laboratory, x-ray, and community services will be available by appointment only. Please call your care provider of Wilkie and District Health Centre at 306-843-2644.
The service changes are in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to fully cohort staff to ensure the health and safety of our patients, residents, employees and physicians, and in accordance with a recent public health order. The layout of the Wilkie and District Health Centre and current staffing levels require us to temporarily consolidate resources to care for our long-term care residents. Visitor restrictions remain in effect.
Physician clinic appointments continue to be available during regular clinic hours at the Wilkie Medical Clinic, 203 – 2 Avenue West, phone 306-843-2888.
Emergency department services are available 24/7 in Unity and North Battleford. Emergency services MAY also be available at Biggar and District Health Centre. Please call the Biggar facility first to verify emergency services availability, at 306-948-3323.
In the event of an emergency, call 911. EMS will be dispatched to respond. EMS will assess the patient, initiate treatments and transport to the most appropriate facility to provide further care for the patient’s illness/injury.
