Testing is part of the Saskatchewan Health Authority offensive strategy to contain, delay and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Expanded testing has been implemented to align with the most recent evidence and consideration of practices in other jurisdictions. Saskatchewan is among the provinces with the widest access to testing.
Symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other respiratory illnesses including the flu and common cold. Common symptoms may include fever, cough, headaches, aches and pains, sore throat, chills, runny nose, loss of sense of taste or smell, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Symptoms may vary from person to person with some people experiencing only mild symptoms, or no symptoms at all.
