Please be advised of the temporary disruption to emergency and acute care services at the Arcola Health Centre effective 7 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 until 8 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Due to active COVID-19 activity in the area and required realignment of health services to support patient care, emergency services will NOT be available at the facility during this time and there will be no acute care patient admissions.
Lab/x-ray services will not be affected by this disruption.
In the event of an emergency call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department in Kipling, Redvers, Weyburn or Estevan. Non-urgent health related questions can be directed to the provincial HealthLine by calling 8-1-1.
Service disruptions due to COVID-19 can be found on the service alerts page of the Saskatchewan Health Authority website.
These actions are being taken to escalate the SHA’s response to recent COVID-19 case surges to enable the SHA to redeploy staff to critical services in order to meet rising COVID-19 demand and save lives.
With the recent surge in cases, the SHA is reminding the public that the primary factor in enabling the health system to meet the demand created by the COVID-19 virus is actions taken by Saskatchewan residents to stop the spread. Please help us by:
- Physical distancing;
- Washing your hands regularly;
- Limiting your bubble as much as possible;
- Abiding by all public health orders;
- Wear a mask whenever you are in public indoor settings;
- Stay home if you are feeling even the mildest symptoms as an increasing number of cases are residents going to work when sick;
- Downloadd the Government of Canada COVID Alert App and use it to protect yourself and your loved ones
