The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is changing its hours of operation at the COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing site to better meet public demand for testing in Regina.
Starting Wednesday, June 9, if you are seeking a COVID-19 test at the drive-thru, the site's new hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. This will allow the SHA to better meet the current demand for testing and redeploy employees to meet other needs within the system, including vaccinations and mobile testing capacity.
Testing is a very important part of the Roadmap to Reopening and the new drive-thru site hours will meet the expected demand for testing. As variants of concern (VoC) are prevalent in the community and province, the SHA will monitor testing demand in Regina and readjust hours of operation if demand increases as it did in March when the hours were most recently expanded.
The drive-through testing sites are first come, first served, similar to a walk-in clinic, which means that wait times may be expected and can vary in length. Drive-thru wait times are posted here.
We are working diligently to serve as many people as possible, and ask for everyone's patience if there is a wait.
To be tested at these drive-thru sites please remember to:
For those individuals who do not have access to a vehicle, please call 811 to arrange an appointment or ask your health practitioner for a referral.
