The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is expanding its hours of operation to the COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing site to better serve the increasing demand for testing in Regina.
Starting Wednesday, March 31, if you are seeking a COVID-19 test at the drive-thru, the site will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. The site will operate seven days a week. With the increase in COVID-19 variants of concern (VoC) in the Regina area, it’s more important than ever to get tested, even if you have mild symptoms or feel you’ve been in a situation where transmission has occurred. Extended testing hours will remain in effect until testing demand and the spread of COVID-19 in Regina has decreased.
Be aware, the Regina drive-thru testing site at Evraz Place is experiencing longer than expected waits due to increased demand. The drive-through testing sites are first come, first served, similar to a walk-in clinic, which means that wait times are expected and varied in length. The average wait time to get a test at the Regina drive-thru site varies significantly by day and hour of day – from no waits to three or more hours.
The SHA asks that you please remember to be kind and respectful to each other and our staff at all times. If you feel you’re wait is too long, you are welcome to return to the drive-thru another day. Drive-thru wait times are posted here.
We are doing our very best to serve as many people as possible, and ask for everyone’s patience while they wait. We also encourage everyone to be kind and take care for others, including pedestrians in the area, while they are in the line.
Anyone wishing to be tested at these drive-thru sites will be required to:
