On December 4, 2017, the Saskatchewan Health Authority formally began its journey to redefine how Saskatchewan residents receive health care services.
Under one integrated organization, each of the more than 44,000 employees and physicians are better able to work together to achieve a single shared vision – to create a health care system that enables health care providers to ensure every patient, client and resident can expect, and will receive, high-quality and timely care regardless of where they live.
As we prepared for the employees and operations to transition from the 12 Regional Health Authorities on December 4, the priority was to ensure the transition is seamless to patients, with no impacts to frontline care.
There are no changes to health care programs, services, facilities or phone numbers so please continue to access care in the same way as you always have.
The work to unify the health system under a single organization and coordinate system-wide transformation to improve patient care will be a multi-year journey in collaboration with patients, health care providers and partners across the health system.
