For most people in Saskatchewan, one of the most valuable cards in their wallet needs to be renewed before the end of the year.
Most Saskatchewan Health Cards expire on December 31, 2017.
eHealth Saskatchewan (eHealth) mailed out health card renewal packages this fall to Saskatchewan residents with provincial health coverage. The packages contain updated stickers that need to be placed on the health card in order to renew it for another three years, until December 31, 2020.
It's important to keep your health card current. If it expires so too does your health coverage, which means you could be billed for medical expenses.
If you have not received your package, please contact eHealth:
eHealth is receiving a high volume of requests for new health cards, so turnaround times are slower than usual. Currently, health card applications are being processed within about 20 business days from the time we receive the application. This does not include mailing time.
Reminder: If you move, change addresses, or if there are any changes to your family (marriage, separation, divorce, etc., make sure that you update your information with eHealth Saskatchewan.
