Our second year as a single health authority has been eventful and challenging and, at the same time, has seen tremendous progress.
Signs of change are evident across the province and at every level of the organization.
We’ve launched new programs, set up interdisciplinary teams in the community, opened facilities and helipads, forged new partnerships, removed barriers to better align and co-ordinate services and made commitments that will influence the culture of our organization for years to come.
Among the many things we’ve accomplished are the opening of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, the signing of the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s (SHA’s) Safety Charter and our official commitment to deliver on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s health care Calls to Action.
As the year draws to a close, it’s important to recognize not only the work ahead of us but to appreciate how far we’ve come in a very short time.
