A message from Scott Livingstone, CEO, Saskatchewan Health Authority
COVID-19 is a virus that puts the public in a position to be life savers. While we have treatments capable of saving the lives of our COVID positive patients and residents, in too many cases it is too late by the time these individuals start receiving the appropriate care. That’s why we need the help of the public.
Unfortunately, too many times, our plea for everyone to wash their hands regularly, physical distance, wear a mask, stay home whenever possible and keep their bubbles small has become background noise during a long, drawn-out pandemic response.
This is understandable, as we are all experiencing COVID fatigue, but we still desperately need the message to get through.
Please tell your family, your friends and your neighbours to help by doing their part in this fight. By doing so, they will be protecting the health and safety of our communities and those who are vul¬nerable to COVID-19. Discipline this Christmas will give more people a next Christmas to celebrate.
Please share this message. Please use your social media channels and your other virtual connec¬tions to urge your family and friends to take the precautions seriously.
We know people in Saskatchewan are generous and willing to help in this fight. They just need to be reminded about what they can do and encouraged by the people they trust. Together, we have the power through the smallest acts to truly make the biggest difference.
