Did you know that population health promotion helps improve health outcomes by focusing on the well-being of the entire population and on a range of factors that affect people’s health – within homes, schools, workplaces and communities?
Saskatchewan Health Authority practitioners work in partnership with other organizations, governments, and communities to influence the personal, social, economic, environmental and cultural contexts to improve health outcomes. Working together around the province, they are creating supportive environments, strengthening community capacity, building healthy public policy, and addressing health inequities.
As a result of this collaboration they have helped to guide nutrition policy, increase mental health literacy in schools, deepen commitments to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, and build healthy, safe and accessible communities.
It’s about better health for all Saskatchewan people.
