Care home employees in Paradise Hill had a surprise on their doorstep when they arrived at work the morning of May 27.
A member of the community had dropped off some beautiful hand-painted rocks for the staff, along with a note that read: “Dear Care Home Staff, I wanted to make something for you all to thank you for what you do every day. It is challenging and scary and stressful these days. Thank you for what you do! #FB4U@paradisehillrocks."
“It was a truly lovely gift from an anonymous person," said Lisa McGillivray, Director of Primary Health Care North West, who is based in Paradise Hill. “It lifted everyone's spirits for the entire day."
The rocks are an everyday reminder of this simple act of random kindness, she added.
The rocks were hand-painted with the faces of health care workers wearing masks.
