In these times of physical distancing, the staff at the Saskatchewan Health Authority ‘s Healthy Mother Healthy Baby program in Saskatoon put together a little gift to let their clients know they were thinking of them this Mother’s Day.
“We’ve all heard that one of the most important things we can do to protect ourselves and others from COVID-19 is to wash our hands,” says Sarah Pannell, Acting Supervisor of the Healthy Mother Healthy Baby program in Saskatoon. “So our team had the idea to gift each of our clients bottles of hand soap, to promote and encourage handwashing, with quotes about motherhood attached to them. We knew this Mother’s Day was going to look and feel a little different, so we just wanted to acknowledge that.”
During the month of May, approximately 140 clients received this gift.
