As the COVID-19 Immunization Campaign progresses, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is providing additional options for you to be immunized when your turn comes.
Depending on the community you live in, you will have multiple options for immunization: appointment-based Mass Immunization Clinics, first-come-first-served Drive-Thru Clinics, and appointment-based Mobile Clinics.
In mid-March, a pilot drive-thru immunization clinic opened in Regina, allowing the SHA to review and refine the process for additional clinics that will be opening soon throughout the province.
Drive-thru COVID-19 immunization clinics do not require an appointment. They operate on a first-come, first-served basis for those who are currently eligible for immunization. The main benefit of drive-thru immunization is convenience, since immunization happens while you are in your vehicle. However be advised is that there can sometimes be long waits, and there may not be access to washrooms at the clinic. Please plan accordingly.
Save yourself some time by checking wait times at active drive-thru immunization sites on the SHA website.
Take a video tour of a Drive-Thru Clinic below or on YouTube. You can see how it works, so you know what to expect when it’s your turn.
