Corporate & Clinical Policy
The Corporate and Clinical Policy Department supports the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s vision of Healthy People, Healthy Saskatchewan by creating clear, evidence-informed policies that guide safe, equitable, and consistent care across the province.
Every policy we develop is designed to:
- Support the SHA mission to care and work together to improve the health and well-being of all people, every day.
- Strengthen safety and quality, embedding best practices with the aim of reducing risks for patients, residents, clients, families, and staff.
- Advance equity and cultural safety, so that guidance reflects the diverse needs of Saskatchewan communities, including Indigenous peoples and underserved populations.
- Encourage collaboration, by working with clinical experts, operational teams, and partners to create practical, effective policies.
- Foster accountability and continuous improvement, by keeping policies up-to-date, easy to find, and well-organized which supports the delivery of high-quality care.
Through this work, the Corporate and Clinical Policy Department helps the SHA operate with clarity, accountability, consistency, and integrity. We uphold the CARES values in everything we do.
SHA policies and procedures:
- Apply to every facility, department and program in the province.
- Are developed, maintained and supported by the Corporate and Clinical Policy Department (Policy Office).
