Safety Assurance and Foundations for Employees (SAFE)
The Safety Assurance and Foundations for Employees (SAFE) approach supports SHA leaders in making staff safety part of everyday work. It combines practical safety tools and resources with clear leadership actions and daily management practices rooted in the SHA management system. While SAFE includes a facilitated leadership course, it is broader than training alone and serves as an ongoing approach to safety management. SAFE helps build and sustain a positive culture of safety where staff feel comfortable raising concerns and sharing ideas for improvement, confident that their input will lead to meaningful action and that their safety is a priority. This approach reflects the SHA’s commitment to supporting the physical, mental, social, cultural, and environmental safety of all staff.
