The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has implemented a standardized clinical procedure for the use of PleurX™ and PeritX™ drains and compatible drainage systems (Med-RX®). The procedure replaces and consolidates previous regional practices and is supported by guidance documents and patient handouts, promoting consistent, safe, and high-quality care across the province.
