The Fall Prevention and Injury Reduction - Acute Care Clinical Procedures for inpatient and outpatient care are effective March 10, 2026.
The Fall Prevention and Injury Reduction Program is a provincial program that replaces all former health region fall prevention and injury reduction programs, documents, policies and procedures.
Teams can begin to take the learning modules at any time. It is important that the majority of staff within acute care are trained prior to applying the guiding documents in practice.
In preparation for the "go live" date, the resources below are available for training purposes to prepare clinical teams for the effective date of March 10, 2026.
