Manager Foundations
Course Description
Manager Foundations is designed for new managers within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). This 7.5-hour, on-demand program provides a practical introduction to the essential skills, knowledge, and resources for success in a management role. New managers are encouraged to complete the program within their first week, while current Out-of-Scope (OOS) managers are welcome to enroll anytime to refresh their knowledge.
Through interactive modules, real-world scenarios, and reflection activities, participants explore key concepts and foundational practices in healthcare management. By the end of the program, they will have a solid understanding of SHA’s management expectations and know where to access ongoing support as they begin leading their teams.
Course Topics
Manager Foundations consists of 16 learning modules (approximately 7.5 hours total). Topics include:
