Manager Foundations
Course Description
Manager Foundations is designed for new managers within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). This 7.5-hour, on-demand program provides a practical introduction to the essential skills, knowledge, and resources for success in a management role.
New managers are required to complete Bundle 1 before attending the in-person Manager Orientation. Bundle 2 can be completed at anytime and should be finished within the first 6-12 months of the management role. Current Out-of-Scope (OOS) managers are welcome to enroll anytime to refresh their knowledge.
Through interactive modules, real-world scenarios, and reflection activities, participants explore key concepts and foundational practices in healthcare management. By the end of the program, they will have a solid understanding of SHA’s management expectations and know where to access ongoing support as they begin leading their teams.
