- Alternative collection container: Gold (gel) Tube 5.0 mL
Collection procedure
- Centrifuge, aliquot into plastic transport tube
Required volume
- Optimal volume: 4.0 mL full collection tube
- Minimum volume: 1.0 mL plasma/serum (Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory/reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum volume may require a second collection.)
- Capillary volume: 0.3 mL plasma/serum; collect full microtainer
