Information for Educational Institutions - Learner Placements
A Clinical Placement Agreement is required to proceed with placements.
Overview of Agreement Schedule
Health Sciences Placement Network – Saskatchewan (HSPNet-SK) is a tool utilized by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and some post-secondary institutions. It is a comprehensive, web-enabled practice education management system for the health sciences programs. It assists with the administration of discipline-specific and interprofessional student placements.
The following Quick Reference Guides were developed to support the clinical placement process for nursing students in Saskatchewan. The Guides apply to all nursing programs that use HSPnet to manage student placements and to all Saskatchewan Health Authority clinical sites.
If you are an out-of-province educational institution requesting a student placement with the SHA, visit Learner Placement Request - Out of Province Institution.
Please note: a Clinical Placement Agreement is required to proceed with placements. Completion of this form will assist our team in determining the next steps required.
Learners and educational institutions are responsible to follow the recommendations for health care workers as outlined in the Saskatchewan Immunization Manual. Additionally, educational institutions are responsible to follow the recommendations for tuberculin skin testing for students, as outlined by TB Prevention and Control Saskatchewan. Learners have the right to refuse immunizations for medical, personal and religious reasons and must sign the Immunization Waiver Form for Post-Secondary Students.
