- Cardiology technologists perform a variety of tasks that are crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Their primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting Diagnostic Tests: They perform tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), Exercise Treadmill Tests (stress test), Holter Monitor application and analysis, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring and Tilt Table Testing.
- Operating Medical Equipment: Technologists are skilled in using advanced medical equipment which captures images and data necessary for diagnosis.
- Patient Interaction: They prepare patients for procedures, explain the tests, and monitor vital signs during diagnostic tests.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Cardiology technologists work closely with Cardiologists and other Health Care Providers to analyze test results and develop treatment plans.

What can I earn as a Cardiology Technologist?
The current rate of pay per hour is $33.44 to $35.83 (3 step range)

How do I become a Cardiology Technologist?
To work as a Cardiology Technologist, you will require a Cardiology Technology diploma. Most accredited courses are a 1.5-to-2-year program online, and under Flexible Learning. Currently there are six accredited programs throughout Canada including:
