Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine (RAAM)
RAAM Clinics provide quick access to care for people who are struggling with substance use. RAAM services are short-term. They will connect the clients to the appropriate community care providers for ongoing care and support. There are currently four RAAM clinics across Saskatchewan.
Who We Serve
- We are a walk-in clinic, designed to offer rapid and timely access to anti-craving/withdrawal medications for those struggling with Substance Use Disorder
Services Offered
- Everyone meets with counsellor/nurse for a brief intake to review substance use/medical history
- Brief addictions counselling
- Short term support to connect to appropriate community resources – this may include counselling, groups, meetings, etc.
- Care will be transferred to longer term supports in the community when possible
- Nurse and physician follow up to monitor stabilization of prescribed anti-craving/withdrawal medications
