Role overview
We are looking to connect with parents and families who have lived experience with brain-based injury in the context of NICU care and who may be interested in contributing to a patient-oriented research project. Parents be invited to co-develop the study and share their experiences and perspectives with the overarching goal of working toward earlier detection of HIE (hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy) in at-risk newborns. (PI: Dr. Darryl Adamko)

What can you expect from the research team?
We are looking to co-develop the study with interested parents in a capacity-based manner that is feasible and realistic. The collaboration will be supported by a patient engagement navigator to support meaningful partnership.
Supports available to participate
We are in the process of applying for funding so that optional honoraria can be provided in alignment with SCPOR guidelines.
