Required knowledge, experience, skills
The Patient Partner Advisory Council is dedicated to the meaningful inclusion of the diverse voices of Saskatchewan patients, family members, care givers and community members who have lived experience of a health issue and the health care system. It would be helpful, but not mandatory, if SCPOR Patient Partner Advisory Council members have experience being part of a patient-oriented research team. This experience will support the understanding in the role of Patient Partners on this committee. Experience as a patient or family patient in healthcare is also of benefit.Time commitment
Patient Partner Advisory Council meetings occur ten months of the year and are one to two hours in in length. Some preparation is required before meetings to review the agenda. There are additional council subgroups that carry out Patient Partner Advisory Council activities. Members have opportunity to join these if they are interested and have capacity.
Location
Meetings will be held virtually using Webex. There are one to two face-to-face meetings held each year.
