A new place to connect: Adult Day Program opens in Meadow Lake
Northwest Community Lodge in Meadow Lake has officially opened its Adult Day Program, providing a welcoming environment where adults can take part in meaningful activities, build social connections and receive support.
Participants can enjoy a variety of experiences, including social opportunities, recreation and leisure activities, physical wellness programs, cognitive stimulation, creative and cultural activities, as well as nutritious meals and refreshments. The program takes a person-centered approach, focusing on each individual's strengths, preferences and personal goals to promote social connection, emotional well-being, independence and quality of life.
The program also provides valuable support for caregivers, giving them time to attend appointments, work or manage other responsibilities with peace of mind knowing their family members are being supported and cared for.
The program is designed for adults living independently in the community who would benefit from increased social opportunities and support to stay active and engaged. It will also benefit individuals whose caregivers would value regular respite and additional support. Individuals interested in participating can speak with their Home Care Assessor to determine eligibility and begin the referral process.
As of September 21, 2026, the Adult Day Program is open and ready to accept clients.
