"Zero Regrets" — A Nurse's 41-Year Journey at Regina General Hospital
Sandy Holfeld has spent her entire career showing up for families, with 41 years in obstetrics at Regina General Hospital and present for some of the most significant moments patients will ever experience.
As a PRAMS nurse coordinator, Sandy built more than a professional record. She built relationships with colleagues who became a second family, and left an impression on countless families across Saskatchewan during the moments that matter most.
"I have zero regrets for being a nurse," she said. "Don't hesitate. Just keep going. No regrets."
It's a sentiment that speaks to a career defined not by routine, but by purpose. Hundreds of births, decades of compassionate care and a commitment to the profession that never wavered.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is grateful for dedicated health-care professionals like Sandy, whose presence and care have touched so many lives across the province.
