Call for participants with cystic fibrosis for research study exploring lived experiences taking a CFTR modulator

Role overview
The objective of this research project is to examine the lived experiences of adults with cystic fibrosis in Canada who have been prescribed Trikafta or another CFTR modulator as part of their treatment, including how this has potentially impacted their body image, emotional well-being, and fertility/family planning considerations. This study has been approved by the University of Regina Research Ethics Board. As part of this study, participants will be asked to complete an online demographics questionnaire on Qualtrics and participate in an interview via Zoom or phone. This should take approximately one hour in total to complete. The interview will be audio recorded (but not video recorded). Participants will be entered into a draw for 1 of 2 $50 gift cards as a thank you for their participation.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
To be eligible for this study, participants must be diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, at least 18 years old, living in Canada, and taking a CFTR modulator (any).Time commitment
The online demographics questionnaire will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The interview (completed via Zoom or phone) will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.

What can you expect from the research team?
The research coordinator, Kylie Arsenault, will provide the participant with the link to complete the online demographics questionnaire. Ms. Arsenault will also arrange a time to complete the Zoom or phone interview with the participant. If the participant would prefer to complete the demographics form with the research coordinator, this can be done on the same day of the scheduled interview. A confirmation email along with the Zoom link (if the interview will be completed via Zoom) will be emailed to the participant prior to the scheduled interview.
