Role overview
We are looking to partner with parents across Canada who are raising children or teens experiencing disruptive behaviours to help us shape research ideas and co-create practical resources for families. Main responsibilities include sharing feedback on research priorities, reviewing drafts of materials, suggesting new ideas for tools and resources families might need, and ensuring resources are clear and useful for parents. Participation involves 4 online meetings throughout a one-year period and light feedback by email between meetings.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
Living in Canada, a parent or primary caregiver raising a child or teen experiencing disruptive behaviours (such as aggression, defiance, lying, or stealing). No background in research is needed.Time commitment
6-8 hours over a year

What can you expect from the research team?
We will reach out to interested individuals for a brief phone call to describe the project and answer questions. Individuals who are interested in joining the advisory group will then be sent a Memorandum of Understanding that provide details of participation. The research team will provide clear and timely communication, organize and facilitate meetings, and meaningfully incorporate feedback from the advisory group.
