Weyburn EMS honours Legion's 100-year legacy
Community support was on display on July 17 as Weyburn EMS staff member Jason Schmidt volunteered his time to serve as an honour guard during the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47’s 100th anniversary celebration.
From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Schmidt stood to pay tribute to those who have served our country.
While a paramedic’s primary role is responding to emergencies and providing patient care, EMS are also proud members of their communities. Participating in local events and supporting organizations that have made a lasting impact helps strengthen relationships, foster trust, and demonstrate the commitment beyond the ambulance.
