- Peak occurs 2 - 3 hours after last dose

- Preferred Collection Container: Dark green (Lithium Heparin) 4mL
- Alternative Collection Container:Red (no additive) 6mL
- Alternative Collection Container: Lavender (EDTA) 4mL
Collection procedure
- Do not use serum separator tube. Aliquot serum or plasma from cells as soon as possible
Required volume
- Optimal Volume: Two 4.5 mL Full collection tubes
- Minimum Volume: 4 mL serum or plasma
(Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory/reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum volume may require a second collection)
Rejection criteria
- Specimens received where the collection protocols were not followed
