Tunneled Intermittent Pleural & Peritoneal Drains (PleurX™/PeritX™) - Training Phase July 21 2026
Clinical documents are available for training purposes effective July 21, 2026, in preparation for the provincial rollout scheduled for August 4, 2026. These documents support the development and implementation of a new Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) clinical procedure that replaces and consolidates previous regional procedures. The rollout also introduces a new procedure, guidance documents and patient handouts for the use of PleurX™ and PeritX™ drains and compatible drainage systems (Med-RX®) to promote a standardized provincial approach to care.
